Styx has announced that they will be playing a week-long residency at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas that will take place in early 2025. As part of those series of shows, the Chicago rock veterans will be performing their multi-platinum, Billboard Top 10-charting 1977 album, The Grand Illusion, in its entirety, along with other hits from the group’s celebrated 50-year career. Styx’s five-show Vegas residency will take place on January 24th, 25th, 29th, 31st, and February 1st. Styx announced their upcoming Vegas residency with a post on Instagram on Monday (September 16), which features The Grand Illusion’s Rene Magritte-inspired album art. The group captioned the post, “Styx is coming back to VEGAS! And this time, we’re playing The Grand Illusion in full PLUS your favorite hits! Let’s rock Vegas, Styx World! See you at The Venetian!” (Consequence of Sound)
