In 2023 the ski resort at home in Lac La Belle earned the list’s top spot at number one. In 2024 Mount Bohemia passes the crown off. But the Midwestern destination for extreme downhill and backcountry skiing places second.
Receiving an average of 273 inches of snowfall Mount Bohemia welcomes experienced skiers to its backcountry trails. The resort is also home to the state’s tallest vertical drop of 900 feet.
