Young couples, and older couples. Those new to the dance and those with a well-rehearsed tango. Next week the Copper Country will dance the night away with that special someone at the South Range Valentine’s Day Dance. The event put on by the South Range Fourth of July Committee helps the community raise funds for the annual celebration in the summer.
This fundraiser is very important for one of us, it’s one of our sort of four big fundraisers during the year that we use to raise money and every year sort of the fireworks goes up in cost. – Mike Renier, South Range Fourth of July Committee
Slick Nickel will return to the VFW hall to keep people on the dance floor. Mike Renier says the band plays a range of music that anyone can dance to. And while not on the dance floor he adds attendees can check out a 50/50 drawing and raffle prizes.
You have a chance to win different 50-50 cash raffles, so you have an opportunity to win cash. And then you have an opportunity to win the gift basket. And like I said, the gift basket is close to a value of almost $1,000. – Mike Renier, South Range Fourth of July Committee
The Valentine Dance will begin at 7 pm next Friday at the VFW Range Lounge in South Range. A cash bar will be available. The door fee cost five dollars. Find more information here.
