High School
All of the high school sports matches in the Keweenaw were snowed out yesterday.

- The Houghton boys and girls will play at Hancock to make up last night’s snow-out. The girls game will tip off at 4:15, with the boys at 5:45. Doubleheader coverage will begin at 3:55 on the Voice of the Gremlins, 97.7 The Wolf.
- The Dollar Bay-Tamarack City boys and girls will play at L’Anse. The JV girls game will start at 4:00, followed by the JV boys, the varsity boys and the varsity girls.
- Both Chassell teams play at Bessemer.
- The Ontonagon boys play at Wakefield-Marenisco.
- The Calumet girls journey to Escanaba.
- The Jeffers girls play at Baraga.

- Houghton welcomes Hancock for the annual Wing Ding match. To accommodate the basketball doubleheader this afternoon, the hockey faceoff has been pushed back to 7:30, with coverage on the Voice of the Gremlins, 97.7 The Wolf.
- Calumet entertains Marquette, to make up for last night’s snow-out. Coverage will begin at 6:10 on the Voice of the Copper Kings, KBear 102.3.

The Portage Lake Pioneers visit the Eagle River Falcons tomorrow night.

College Hockey
The Michigan Tech hockey team hosts Bemidji State for the annual Winter Carnival series this weekend. The puck drops tonight at 7:07, and tomorrow at 5:07.
The Northern Michigan hockey team plays at Lake Superior State tonight and tomorrow.
College Basketball
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams lost at Wayne State last night.
- The women fell 66-44. Isabella Lenz scored 13.
- The men faded down the stretch, and dropped a 74-62 decision. Marcus Tomashek scored 28.
Both Tech teams visit Saginaw Valley State tomorrow.
Both Northern Michigan teams earned victories at Saginaw Valley State last night.
- The women rode a late surge to a 69-59 win. Jacy Weisbrod scored 23.
- Five Wildcats scored in double figures in the men’s 82-68 victory. Jackson Dudek led the effort with 16 points.
Both NMU squads play at Wayne State tomorrow.
NHL
The Red Wings entertain the Lightning tomorrow afternoon. Coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
After a few games with the Wings, former NMU standout Dominik Shine has been sent back down to Grand Rapids.
NBA
The Pistons host the 76ers tonight. Coverage will begin at 7:05 on 99.3 The Lift.
Detroit added point guard Dennis Schroder in a multi-team trade deadline deal yesterday. He’ll fill in for Jaden Ivey, whose broken leg will probably cost him the rest of the season.
NFL
The Chiefs and Eagles play in the Super Bowl Sunday night, with coverage on 99.3 The Lift.
Former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was honored yesterday as the NFL Assistant Coach of the Year. He’s now head coach of the Bears. Lions head coach Dan Campbell finished second to Minnesota’s Kevin O’Connell in the Coach of the Year vote. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff placed fifth in the Most Valuable Player poll. That trophy went to Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Legendary Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe was one of four players named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame yesterday. Antonio Gates, Jared Allen and Eric Allen will join him.
Nordic Skiing
The annual Barneløpet Sunday features Nordic ski races for children ages three through 17 at the Maasto Hiihto Trails. Registration begins at 1:00 in the chalet in Hancock. Races start at 2:00. There is no charge. For details and registration information, click here.
