Higher education prepares students to become professionals. Community Colleges play important roles in the development of turning from a student to a professional nurse, welder, childcare leader, or first responder.
Tomorrow the Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College will host its annual spring career fair, inviting students and the community to learn about various local employment opportunities.
This year’s career fair will feature more than 40 employers, including departments operated by the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community such as KBIC Veterans, Natural Resources, Child Support Services, and Fire and Emergency departments. Other employers include Aspirus Health, Baraga County Memorial Hospital, IBEW Local 906, Local 111 Pipefitters, USDA, State of Michigan agencies, and UP Michigan Works.
The KBOCC Spring Career Fair will begin at 10 am inside the Niiwin Akeaa Center in Baraga.
