- Calumet split its twinbill with Kingsford. The Flivvers won the opener 5-0. Lena Myhren gave up five hits and five runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two. The Copper Kings claimed the nightcap 5-4. Singles by Mhyren and Isabella Coppo powered a two-run fifth inning that provided the winning margin. Coppo doubled earlier in the contest. Kaylee Newsom earned the win, giving up six hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking four.
- Hancock swept a doubleheader with L’Anse, winning each game 15-0. Both games ended after three innings because of the mercy rule. In the opener, Sadie Biekkola struck out seven and allowed no hits. Sofie Freeman and Kaelyn Rouleau each had two hits for the Bulldogs. In the nightcap, Lucy Biekkola struck out seven, and Brooke Koskela had two hits.
- Forest Park split its games against Superior Central, taking game one 9-8, and dropping game two 22-14.

The Tigers collected just three hits in a 2-0 loss to the Padres last night. The power outage spoiled a good start by Jack Flaherty, whose only big mistake over six innings was giving up a two-run homer to Elias Díaz.
The Tigers conclude that home set against the Padres this afternoon. Reese Olson will pitch against Kyle Hart. Coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
With a scheduled off-day coming up, the Tigers sent starter Keider Montero back to the Mud Hens yesterday. They called up reliever Chase Lee, who made his major league debut late in last night’s game.
The Brewers pounded the Giants 11-3 last night. Jose Quintana allowed a run over six innings, and got the win. Christian Yelich hit a grand slam, as Milwaukee scored eight runs in the sixth inning. Jake Bauers also homered, and Brice Turang had four hits.
The Brewers visit the Giants again tonight. Freddy Peralta will start against Logan Webb.

Opening-round Stanley Cup tournament play continued last night.

- The Hurricanes stopped the Devils 3-1. Miami leads that series 2-0.
- The Maple Leafs slipped past the Senators 3-2 in overtime. Toronto takes a 2-0 lead in that series.
- The Panthers grounded the Lightning 6-2 to win the opening game of that set.

- The Wild buried the Golden Knights 5-2 to even that series 1-1.
